
Karachi Aman Sports Festival Kicks Off From Aug 5

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd August, 2016) : Karachi Aman Sports Festival in collaboration with the Sports Department Sindh would commence from August 5 at Shooting Ball Club Korangi. Secretary Pakistan Sports Welfare Association Ghulam Muhammad Khan announced this at a press conference at the Karachi Press Club (KPC) on Wednesday. The opening colorful ceremony would be organised at Korangi Shooting Ball Club at 06:00 pm and it would be inaugurated by former Sindh minister Munwar Ali Abbasi, he added. Players would compete in four games during the festival, he said adding that Basket Ball would be played at Aram-bagh, Shooting Ball at Shooting Ball Club, Cycling Race from Commissioner House to Railway Stadium and Table-Tennis at Government College Shahra-e-Liaquat.
Secretary Sports Muhammad Rashid would grace the event as the chief guest where he would be awarded with Gold Medal for doubling budget of Sindh Sports. He also urged the Chief Minister Sindh to induct Sports Minister to his cabinet to promote sports as his father former chief minister Sindh late Syed Abdullah Shah did. He made another announcement about another Cycle Race in the memory of Director Sindh Sports board late Mustaq Ahmed to be held on August 05 at 10:30 p.m.
