
KP Govt Arranges Climate Change Summer Camp For Christian Community Youth

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jul, 2025) A group of Christian community youth leaders and students, under the banner of Christian Students Fellowship (CSF), participated in a three-day summer camp focused on climate change and capacity building in the scenic region of Galiyat.
The event was organized with the support of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly the Director General of the KP Culture and Tourism Authority, who played a key role in encouraging youth participation.
The camp, organized jointly by Christian Students Fellowship Peshawar and the Hum Log Organization, aimed to raise awareness among young people about the pressing issue of climate change and to build their capacity for environmental leadership.
The training and sessions were facilitated by experts from the Pakistan Partner Initiative (PPI), including Asher Shahzad, Augustin Jacob, Imran Munir, and Dr Meraj Aleem, who led a range of interactive and insightful discussions throughout the camp.
Augustin Jacob, a well-known social leader and Chairman recognized for his ongoing support to the youth of KP, played a leading role in arranging the event and motivating participants.
Participants expressed gratitude to the organizing partners and the government for providing them the opportunity to explore Pakistan's beautiful tourism sites while also learning about the effects of climate change and how to take effective action to mitigate future environmental damage.
