
LCCI To Help Resolve Auto Business Problems

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23th july, 2016) : The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) will take up matters of high rate of customs duty on auto parts and undue checking of consignments with authorities concerned. Lahore Chamber's Vice President Nasir Saeed assured this in a meeting with 50-member delegation of Pakistan Auto Spare Parts Importers and Dealers Association (PASPIDA) here at LCCI on Saturday.
Chairman PASPIDA Abid Hameed, Central Vice Chairman Baber Mustafa, Muhammad Ibrar and Asad Noor Paganwala also spoke. Nasir Saeed said all those barriers should be removed which were hampering a smooth running of businesses, and all departments concerned should adopt friendly approach towards the business community which was backbone of the economy.
The VP said top government officials, including DCO and CCPO, would be invited to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry to highlight the issues being faced by the business community.
He said that business community was the force to make country economic leader at global level, therefore, policies should be evolved while keeping in view their stakes.
He said that all departments should act as facilitator to the business community. Nasir Saeed said measures being taken in the name of controlling smuggling, were also affecting those traders who were doing their businesses legally and also stressed the need for a strategy to remove the menace of smuggling.
He said smuggled goods should be stopped at borders instead of conducting raids in markets. He assured the delegation that Lahore Chamber would arrange their meeting with the department concerned for early solution of their custom duty and valuation related problems.
He said the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry would continue to highlight challenges being faced by trade and industry.
