MQM Bags Mayor, Deputy Mayor Slots Of HMC

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th August, 2016) : Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Wednesday clinched both the seats of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (HMC). According to the unofficial results, some 138 votes out of the electoral college of 143 votes were cast.
The MQM's candidates Syed Tayyab Hussain and Suhail Mashhadi received an overwhelming number of 111 votes while their opponents from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Allah Bux alias Pasha Qazi and Hassan Jatoi secured 27 votes.
