The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) has formally inaugurated the newly constructed 132kV Jam Sadiq Ali Grid Station, completed at a cost of Rs698 million

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) has formally inaugurated the newly constructed 132kV Jam Sadiq Ali Grid Station, completed at a cost of Rs698 million. The new facility is expected to improve electricity transmission to residents of Jam Nawaz Ali, Sindhri and surrounding areas.

According to the HESCO spokesperson Saadiq Kubbar, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) HESCO Faizullah Dahri, while addressing the inauguration ceremony, termed it a moment of great satisfaction. He noted that following the Sakhi Wahab Grid Station, this was the second newly constructed grid station in Jam Nawaz Ali, adding that the land for the project was generously provided by the Jam family.

He commended the teams of PMU and GSC (Civil) for their efforts in completing the project.

He further stated that the grid station has now been formally handed over to the GSO team, which will make it operational and ensure improved electricity supply.

Dahri added that new grid stations were being integrated into the power network to enhance electricity distribution, and assured that Cadet College Sanghar will also be provided with zero load-shedding facilities.

On the occasion, Chief Engineer (Development) PMU Farah Deeba, in her welcome address, expressed gratitude to Jam Zulfiqar Ali Khan for donating land for the grid station. Speaking at the event, Jam Zulfiqar Ali Khan thanked CEO Faizullah Dahri and his entire team for successfully completing the project.
