One Dacoit Killed, Another Arrested After Police Encounter

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jul, 2025) One dacoit was killed while another was arrested after police encounter in Faisalabad.

Police spokesman said here on Monday that CCD team witnessed a suspect near Joray Pull and directed him to stop for identification but he opened indiscriminate firing on the police team.

The police also returned fire and in this encounter, the accused was killed. He was later on identified as Junaid Sarwar resident of Chak 214/R-B and he was wanted to the police in 14 cases of robbery, dacoity and theft.

Meanwhile, Satiana police re-arrested a dacoity accused Qasim when he received injuries by his own accomplices during a police encounter near Chak 39-GB.

The police were carrying back the dacoity accused Qasim after recovery of case property late night when four armed criminal intercepted the police van and got him released from police custody after opening blunt firing.

When the police encircled the criminals and an encounter occurred, the assailants managed to escape from the scene under the cover of darkness, leaving dacoity accused Qasim in injured condition, spokesman added.
