OPD At LRH To Work Round The Clock

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Augst,2016) : The Out-Patient Department (OPD) in Peshawar's Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) will now offer round the clock services after imposition of Medical Teaching Institution Reforms Act on Thursday. The LRH hospital administration said the duration has been extended due to crowd of patients in the hospital who faced difficulties by old timings that were from 8 am to 4 pm. Medical Director Dr.
Mukhtiar Zaman said that LRH witnesses large number of patients due to its location in the metropolis. He said the hospital has treated more than 23 lac people in 2015 among which 142,000 patients were also admitted. He further informed that the old machineries were being replaced by new advanced machines to give relief to maximum number of patients. LRH consists 1598 beds whereas approximately 470 patients get treatment in hospital daily.
