
Over 70 Students Get On-spot Jobs As TEVTA Organises Job Fair

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Nov, 2025) In line with the directives of the Punjab chief minister, the Job Fair 2025 was organised at the Government College of Technology under the leadership of TEVTA Punjab Chairperson Brig (retd) Sajid Khokhar and DG Operations-II Aamir Aziz.
More than 20 companies from various sectors participated, offering employment opportunities in mechanical, electrical, auto-mobile, IT/computer, construction, hospitality/food, telecommunications, and other industries.
President Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Syed Zafar Sharif attended the event as the chief guest. District Director TEVTA Bahawalpur & Lodhran Engr Muhammad Rashid, Principal GCT Bahawalpur Engr Muhammad Akram Fani, Assistant Directors Placement Engr.
Waseem Akhtar and Engr. Qurat-ul-Ain, and District Placement Officer TEVTA Bahawalpur and Lodhran Usman Ghani were also present. More than 1,300 students registered at the job fair, while over 700 students from Bahawalpur and Lodhran participated. During the event, over 70 students received on-spot job offers, and 2,600 candidates were shortlisted for the next recruitment stages.
The Job Fair 2025, organised by TEVTA’s Career Division at the Government College of Technology, aimed to equip youth with technical skills, connect them with industry, and provide employment opportunities aligned with modern economic needs. At the end, TEVTA Punjab expressed gratitude to industrial partners for supporting youth employment initiatives.
