Parents Of Martyrs Laud Assistance Package To Victims Of Terrorism
PESHAWAR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Augst,2016) : The politicians,lawmakers and parents of martyrs here Friday eulogized the decision of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif pertaining to development of a widespread mechanism to provide generous assistance to families of victims of terrorism that would ensure dignified livelihood and better education and employment packages to the affectees. Nadir Khan, a resident of village Dheri Mian Ishaq Nowshera district whose younger son Tariq Khan, an employee of FC, was martyred in a terrorist attack in South Waziristan Agency few years ago told APP that the present elected government of PMLN deserved full credit and appreciations for taking practical measures besides provision of widespread mechanism to provide generous assistance to the families of victims of terrorism. This decision was announced by the Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif while chairing a high level meeting of the federal cabinet at the Prime Minister House the other day. Welcoming the government decision, he said this package would ensure dignified livelihood, education and employment opportunities to families and children of victims of terrorism besides overcoming their financial problems. "I am proud of my son who laid down his life for protection of motherland in South Waziristan Agency," he said, adding he has six more sons and whenever my country need their services he would not hesitate to offer sacrifices for defence of motherland. "The people come and go but the country should remain," he said, adding this package would create further encouragement besides addressing the economic difficulties and education, jobs and health services' needs of families of martyrs. Member Provincial Assembly, Rushad Khan also welcomed the decision of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif regarding development of comprehensive and wide-ranging assistance package of families of victims of terrorism, saying it would help them to continue studies of their children in top educational institutes besides provision of dignified jobs following completion of their education.
Rushad Khan said security forces and policemen had laid down their lives for protection of their motherland and this package that would cover all dimensions would be a kind of tributes to their matchless services for Pakistan. In a democratic state, the said, Government take extra-ordinary care of the needs of families of martyrs and this comprehensive package by the Federal Government would help improve the socio-economic conditions of people. He said the package has reflected the sincerity and strong determination of the Prime Minister towards assistance and economic needs of the families of the martyrs. The lawmaker also lauded the decision of the Federal Government to raise 29 new wings of civil armed forces to ensure internal security and improve overall border management. The raising of new wings of civil armed forces would not only help improve an overall security situation in the country besides countering terrorism and sabotage activities of the anti-state elements swiftly. He said Government has adopted zero tolerance against terrorism and took bold and forceful measures to wipe out this menace with full might. Before PMLN Government, he said, four to six bomb explosions in Khyber Pakthunkhwa and Fata was a routine matter and people were confined to their homes. The PMLN Government when took over accorded high priority to eradicate terrorism and started decisive Operation Zarb e Azb that had broken the back of militants and terrorists in North Waziristan Agency as result of which law and order in the entire country significantly improved. The lawmaker said successful actions and operations of the Government and law enforcement agencies under National Action Plan (NAP) have isolated terrorists by reducing space for them to reorganize and operate freely. Terming nationally agreed National Action Plan (NAP) is a big achievement of federal government, he said, work on it has been expedited and formation of the task force headed by Lt Gen Retd Nasir Khan Janjoa would help monitor progress on NAP on ground.
