PFA Conduct Raid At Fake Milk Factory Operating In Residential Area

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jul, 2025) In a major crackdown against food adulteration, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Rawalpindi has unearthed and shut down a fake milk manufacturing unit operating inside a residential house in the Amarpura area.

According to the PFA spokesperson, the unit was producing synthetic milk using hazardous ingredients, including vegetable oil, powdered milk, and chemicals, putting public health at serious risk.

During the raid, officials confiscated over 100 liters of fake milk ready for distribution. In addition to this, a large quantity of vegetable ghee and other harmful raw materials used in the preparation process were also recovered.

All the seized fake milk and ingredients were destroyed on the spot under the supervision of Food Authority.

“The operation was launched after verifying reports of suspicious activities in the area,” said the spokesperson.

An FIR has been registered against the main accused at the local police station, and further legal action is underway.

The spokesperson urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious food-related activities to the Food Authority helpline. “Public cooperation is essential to eliminate the adulteration mafia. Citizens must come forward and support our efforts by informing us of any such illegal activity,” the official added.
