PIA To Provide Rs 0.5 Mln To Victims Family Members As Burial

ISLAMABAD, Dec 8 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 08th Dec, 2016 ) : PIA will provide a cash amount of Rs 0.5 million to the family members of the plane crash victims as burial charges following relief package to be announced by the management of PIA.

Talking to APP, PIA spokesman Danyal Gilani said that all district managers of PIA have been directed to personally go to the victims' homes and hand over the cash amount.

He added this amount is just for burial charges while final relief packages for victims will be announced later.

He said that the process of DNA sampling was going on and the family members are coming to PIMS for this purpose. He said that PIA has provided free air tickets and accommodations at Islamabad and Abbottabad for those who lost their loved ones in the plane crash and came to Islamabad and Abbottabad to take their victims' bodies.
