PILDAT Delegation Visit PITB

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th August, 2016) : Chairman Punjab IT board (PITB) Dr Umar Saif has said the PITB is working to improve transparency and efficiency of all departments of the Punjab government as well as assisting the Federal government and other provinces in Pakistan through skilful use of modern technology.
He was talking to a delegation of the Islamabad-based think-tank, Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) at Arfa IT Tower, on Monday. The delegation was headed by President Ahmad Bilal Mehboob, with Joint Director Aasiya Riaz and Project Manager Mehrbano Raja as members.
Dr Saif gave an overall brief of PITB's prominent projects including citizen facilitation centres, smart monitoring of schools, bio-metric attendance system in Police and hospitals, Citizen Feedback Monitoring Programme and many other interventions devised for education, health, police and courts that have viably helped ensure transparency and improve governance in the province.
The PILDAT delegation appreciated Dr Umar Saif for his vibrant leadership and direction that has led PITB to achieve its goals.
It also discussed various fields of interest where both organizations might undergo for a collaboration to work jointly. Dr. Saif presented souvenir of Arfa IT Tower to Ahmad Bilal Mehboob.
