Plan To Establish 8 New Colleges In Faisalabad Distt

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th August, 2016) : The provincial government has decided to establish eight new colleges in Faisalabad district with an estimated cost of Rs 165 million. A spokesman of education Department said here on Monday that Rs 120 million would be spent on provision of missing facilities including additional classrooms, computer labs etc.
in already existing nine colleges of the district. He said that physical work had been started for the construction of Home Economic College at Afghanabad near old Bakkar Mandi with an estimated cost of Rs 30 million, whereas Govt Degree College for Women at Sitiana Bungalow Tehsil Jaranwala, Govt Girls College at Meeran Wala Bungalow Borewal, Govt Girls Degree College at Chak No.
46-GB Tehsil Sammundri, Govt Degree College at Chak No.374-GB Arkana Tehsil Jaranwala and Govt Boys Degree College at Pensara would be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 22.8 million each. Similarly, Govt Degree College for Women will be set up at Chak No.97 Tehsil Jaranwala with Rs 15 million and Govt Girls' Degree College at Ayub Research Jhang Road with Rs 4 million, he added. He further said that Rs 30 million would be spent on the provision of missing facilities at Govt Girls College Gulshan Colony and Rs 20 million for construction of additional classroom and labs at Govt Postgraduate College Samanabad whereas Rs 32 million would be expended for providing missing facilities at Govt College for Women Jaranwala.
