PML-N Sweeps DC Election On Reserved Seats, Bagging 19 Seats

RAWALPINDI,Nov 15(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Nov, 2016 ) ; Pakistan Muslim League (N) Tuesday won the Rawalpindi District Council seats by bagging 19 out of total 24 seats reserved for youth,labour/peasants, women and non-Muslims in the local bodies elections.
According to unofficial results announced by the District Returning Officer (RO), Arif Raheem here , PML-N had emerged as single largest party by winning 19 seats of the total 24 seats in the District Council.
The PML-N secured 11 seats of the total 15 reserved for women,while PTI won one and independent 3 while PML-N won the single seat reserved for youth. Similarly PML-N swept all the three seats reserved for peasants. On minorities seats, 4 PML-N candidates won election of the total five while another won by an independent candidate.
