Police Encounter In Khairpur: One Dacoit Killed

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jul, 2025) A police encounter took place in the limits of Police Station B Section in Khairpur on Sunday early morning, resulting in the killing of one notorious dacoit. The encounter occurred when police received information about unknown dacoits planning to commit a crime in Memon Mohalla.

The police team, led by SHO B Section and Incharge Luqman Chowki, reached the spot and surrounded the dacoits, leading to a fierce encounter. One dacoit, identified as Aamir alias Shakeel alias Majeed son of Rustam Phulpoto, was killed in the encounter.

The deceased dacoit was wanted in multiple serious cases, including dacoity, theft, and police encounters.

SSP Khairpur Hassan Sardar Niazi stated that the dacoit was known to change his name frequently to evade police.

The police recovered a stolen motorcycle and a pistol from the deceased dacoit's possession. A search operation is underway to apprehend the accomplices who managed to escape.

The SSP Khairpur has announced commendation certificates and cash rewards for the police team involved in the encounter. The police are gathering the dacoit's criminal record from other districts as well.
