
Provision Of Quality And Safe Food A Shared Responsibility: Salma Butt

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2025) Special Assistant to Chief Minister on price Control Salma Butt has said that "it is our collective responsibility to ensure provision of quality and safe food".
She said this in her message issued in connection with World Food Day here on Thursday. She said that necessary and urgent measures were being taken to improve quality of food and ensure its accessibility to the poor people in line with the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
She said that scope of 'Sahulat bazaars' was being expanded to provide relief to the people besides providing quality items at reasonable rates.
The Punjab government's
framer-friendly policies were being implemented rapidly, she said and added that farmer markets would soon be seen in the province to create better purchasing environment and facilitate the public.
She further said that Punjab Food Authority was actively working to ensure availability of nutritious food for everyone.
