ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Dec, 2016 ) : Students from various educational institutions of twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad here Thursday presented speeches highlighting the life, message and services of father of nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for Pakistan.

The speeches were held in connection with the birth anniversary of founder of the Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah here at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA). The speeches were delivered on topics "Baba-e-Qaum ko bachay kis nazar say dekhtay hain" and "Quaid as Father of the Nation".

While the speech competition was part of weeklong activities arranged by PNCA and Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage to celebrate Quaid e Azam week. The students participated in the competition to pay tribute to the struggle of Quaid and highlight the vision of Quaid e Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah and the sacrifices of freedom fighters to get a separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub continent.

The PNCA's week-long special programmes titled "Quaid Ka Pakistan" will continue till Dec 25 to celebrate 140th birth anniversary of father of nation, Quaid -e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in befitting way.

The programmes include Speech contest, Mosaic of Quaid, Hamara Quaid, Quaid's Birthday Cake Designing, Memorabilia contest, Quaid Photo exhibition, Aks-e-Quaid,Competition Besides depicting the culture and traditions of the country, such shows also educate the youth regarding the struggle of freedom fighters through soft expressions of art, said the organizers.

Celebrating the national days with art and cultural programmes is a regular feature of PNCA's activities that not only celebrate the occasion but also involve young talent to create awareness among the masses about the importance of historical days.

Involvement of students for highlighting the contributions of national heroes and significance of national days through artistic programmes give them opportunity to understand the history and ideologies of such events in its true perspective, the organizers said.
