KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jul, 2025) The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Kohat, under the instructions of Commissioner Kohat Division and Chairman RTA Kohat Syed Motasim Billah Shah, on Friday launched a crackdown against illegal transport.

In this regard, Secretary RTA Kohat Shah Wazir, along with a team of MMPA Police Kohat, conducted a thorough operation on Highway Kohat.

During the crackdown, various public transport vehicles were checked, revealing serious violations such as operating without road permits, overcharging fares, and overloading passengers.

Several vehicles were challaned on the spot, and legal action has been initiated against some transport owners.

On this occasion, Secretary RTA Shah Wazir while exclusively talking to APP, emphasized that this crackdown aims to provide relief to the public, establish order in the transport system, and improve travel facilities.

He also warned transport owners that strict legal action will be taken against future violations, ensuring accountability and compliance with regulations.
