Saad For Warm Welcome Of Azadi Train

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th August, 2016) : Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique on Saturday said that warm welcome would be accorded to Azadi Train at several railway stations.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting held here at divisional workshop Mughulpura office. He directed the PR IG railways to ensure foolproof security of Azadi Train with the help of other security departments and walk through gates should be installed where it were possible. He said that Azadi train was not only the asset of the railways but also the asset of the nation. He also directed to invite important national figures and mediamen to watch the train.
Regarding the steel workshop Mughulpura, the minister formed a committee to review the up-gradation plan of the 48 years old machinery and ordered to send report to the headquarters and the ministry. The minister also directed to make plan for the up- gradation of more railway stations after a briefing given to the minister about the development in up-gradation work of railway stations. He was informed about the pace of work of up-gradation of Lahore, Badami Bagh, Azakhel and Peppery Martial yard terminals on which the minister directed to pace up the work. PR chief executive officer Javaid Anwar, Advisor Anjum Pervaiz and other senior officers attended the meeting.
