Society can't move forward without justice: LHC CJ

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Nov, 2016 ) : Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah on Monday said that society could not progress without justice. Addressing a ceremony held for students of different schools at Sessions court here in connection with sesquicentennial celebrations of the LHC, he said that justice was most important in society and society would progress only if justice is done without any discrimination; otherwise, it would be destroyed.

He said that justice was a way of thinking and it should be applicable in everyday life of all people. Justice Muhammad Yawar Ali, Justice Muhammad Anwaar-ul-Haq, Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan, Justice Mamoon Rashid Sheikh, Justice Qasim Ali Khan and Registrar LHC Syed Khurshid Anwar Rizvi were also present on the occasion.

The chief Justice, along with students, also cut a cake of sesquicentennial celebrations on this occasion. Earlier, District and Sessions Judge Lahore Nazir Ahmad Gujana, judicial officers and students welcomed chief justice and judges on their arrival.

Students of Aitchison school, Lahore Grammar School, Central Model School, Child Protection Bureau and other schools were included among those who visited sessions court. The students visited E-Court and various additional and sessions judges' courts. They were briefed about the court working and they also witnessed the court proceedings.
