LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jul, 2025) A one-day training session for Crime Control Department (CCD) officers from across Punjab was held at the Police Training Center, Chung, under the leadership of Additional Inspector General (AIG) Sohail Zafar Chatha.

The extensive seven-hour session, aimed at enhancing professional skills and operational strategies, was attended by CCD officers and personnel from throughout the province.

Addressing the officers, Additional IG Sohail Zafar Chatha commended the CCD's remarkable achievements within just two months, noting that the department’s relentless efforts have fostered a growing sense of security among the public.

“For the first time, the people of Punjab are experiencing true security, thanks to the tireless commitment of our CCD officers,” said Chatha.

Sohail Zafar also credited the CCD for effectively eliminating the notorious "Dala culture" from Punjab, highlighting the department’s impact on criminal behavior.

"Criminals are now abandoning their criminal lives, swearing on the Quran to leave their past behind due to the fear instilled by CCD operations," he remarked.

Further emphasizing the transformation in public safety, he stated, "Today, women can wear jewelry and walk through markets without fear, a clear sign of the courage and determination of our officers."

The Additional IG also assured that the department upholds a strong system of accountability. “Corruption will not be tolerated in our ranks. Anyone involved will face stringent action, while exceptional officers will be recognized and rewarded.”

Sohail Zafar Chatha distributed cash awards among officers for their outstanding contributions. Senior police officials, including DIGs Waqas-ul-Hassan and Umar Salamat, also attended the event.
