Teachers Advised To Observe Self-accountability

MULTAN (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : Vice Chancellor Bahauddin Zakariya University Dr Tahir Amin has advised teachers to observe self-accountability as far as discharging of their duties was concerned.
He stressed the need of collective efforts for improving standards of the university, adding that the faculty played major role for development of any university. He was addressing the oath-taking ceremony of newly-elected body of Academic Staff Association (ASA) of BZU, here late Wednesday evening.
To resolve the financial issues facing the varsity, the administration has set up an endowment fund with Rs 220 million, Dr Amin said and added that they had also requested the Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) to provide them with matching grant once for its better working.
Speaking on the occasion, ASA President Dr Javid Ahmad shed light on a number of issues facing the faculty including advanced increments by selection board, promotion of professors in grade-22 etc. ASA Vice President Dr Abdul Sattar Malik and Secretary Dr Hassan Bucha also spoke on the occasion.
