Two-day Female Bikers Camping Gala concludes at Patriata

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Oct, 2025) Secretary Tourism, Archaeology & Museums department Punjab, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta has emphasized that women’s dynamic participation in tourism and adventure sports is vital to strengthening Pakistan’s global image and fostering sustainable economic growth.

Addressing the participants of the Two-Day Female Bikers Camping Gala, organized by the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) at Patriata (New Murree), Dr. Bhutta stated that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Punjab, Ms. Maryam Nawaz, and the patronage of Senior Minister for Tourism and Culture, Ms. Maryam Aurangzeb, the Tourism Department is implementing a comprehensive strategy to promote inclusive, eco-friendly, and adventure-based tourism across Punjab.

He noted that initiatives such as the Female Bikers Gala reflect the Government’s strong commitment to gender inclusivity, environmental stewardship, and responsible tourism.

“This event not only celebrates the courage and determination of our women but also symbolizes Punjab’s progressive vision for equitable participation in all spheres of national life,” Dr. Bhutta remarked.

Commending the enthusiastic participation of women bikers from various districts of Punjab, Dr. Bhutta reaffirmed that the Government will continue to expand such transformative initiatives through TDCP. He also highlighted the crucial role of digital influencers and travel content creators in showcasing Punjab’s breathtaking landscapes and vibrant tourism potential to global audiences through modern media platforms.

He added that social media influencers and travel bloggers from Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) also participated in the event, reflecting the spirit of national unity and interprovincial collaboration in promoting Pakistan’s adventure and eco-tourism.

The two-day gala, held from October 18 to 19, 2025, featured an engaging array of activities including camping, guided biking trails, professional safety workshops, and interactive sessions on eco-tourism and sustainable travel practices.

Managing Director TDCP, Mr. Asim Raza, stated that the event embodies TDCP’s forward-looking vision to provide safe, inclusive, and inspiring opportunities for women to excel in adventure tourism.

The gala concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where distinguished participants were honoured with certificates, shields, and souvenirs in recognition of their exceptional enthusiasm, leadership, and spirit of adventure.

Dr. Bhutta reaffirmed that the Punjab Tourism Department remains steadfast in its mission to develop a vibrant, responsible, and inclusive tourism ecosystem—one that empowers communities, preserves heritage, and projects a positive image of Pakistan on the global stage.
