UK Furniture Industry Shows Interest In Joint Ventures With PFC

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2025) UK-based furniture manufacturers have expressed strong interest in collaborating with the Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) to explore joint ventures and promote high-quality Pakistani furniture in international export markets.

This was stated in an official message received here from London, where a PFC delegation led by CEO Mian Kashif Ashfaq is currently visiting. The delegation is actively engaging with importers, retailers, and industry stakeholders to showcase Pakistan’s craftsmanship and expand its global footprint.

Mian Kashif Ashfaq noted that the UK market’s increasing demand for premium, handcrafted furniture aligns well with Pakistan’s strengths in both traditional and modern design aesthetics.

This synergy presents a promising opportunity for long-term partnerships. He added that the PFC is actively planning to organize single-country exhibitions in key international markets, including the UK, to attract foreign investment and foster strategic collaborations.

“These efforts will help position Pakistan as a competitive player in the global furniture industry,” he said. “UK manufacturers see value in Pakistan’s skilled craftsmanship and cost-effective production, making joint ventures an ideal route to boost exports.” He estimated that such partnerships could significantly contribute to achieving the government’s target of $5 billion in furniture exports by 2030.
