Zahid Mehmood Superintendent AWKU Nabbed In Illegal Appointments Case

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th july,2016) : National Accountability Bureau Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (NAB-KP) Thursday arrested accused Zahid Mehmood, the then Superintendent (BPS-17), Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan presently posted as Superintendent University of Swabi. He in connivance with others was allegedly involved in corrupt practices, misuse of authority in connection with illegal appointment and regularization of 652 officials in Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan.
A press release issued here said the accused Zahid Mehmood performed his duties as Superintendent in Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan from 2009 to 2012.
During his tenure, he in connivance with others processed summary for illegal appointments and illegal regularization of the services of 652 contract officials by misquoting and misinterpreting the notifications of Provincial Government issued back in the year 2005 in different cadres in AWKU Mardan.
The accused would be produced before the Accountability Court for obtaining his physical remand to proceed further as per law.
