KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th August, 2016) : The outstanding performance by Faraz Ali and Faraz Ahmed Khan paved the way for Zone-VI to defeat Zone-I on 3rd day of the 5th round of 3-day matches of the PCB Regional Inter District Senior (Karachi Region) cricket Tournament on Friday. Zone-VI outwitted Zone-I by an innings and 18 runs at TMC Ground and got 10 points. Zone-I bowled out at 145 in 75.3 overs.
Ahmed Iqbal blasted 59 off 189 balls with the aid of 7 fours and Asad Baig 27 with 3 fours. Faraz Ahmed Khan (SLA) snapped out 6 wickets for 41 runs and Ghulam Mudassir (MF) 2 wickets for 16.
In another innings, Zone-I bowled out at 98 in 37.2 overs.
Zakir Ali made 19 runs and Saad Alam 18. Faraz Ahmed Khan (SLA) grabbed 4 wickets for 33 runs and Salman Zaib (M/F) 3 wickets for 33. Zone-VI made the score of 261 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 75.2 overs. Faraz Ali crashed 123 runs in 216 balls by hitting 12 boundaries and one six. Saeed Mutabbir was major contributor of 49 with the aid of 5 fours and one six.
Ahmed Iqbal captured 3 wickets for 76 and Khurram Shahzad 2 wickets for 23.
