LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -25th Augst,2016) : Dr Junaid Ali Shah has been unanimously elected as President Karachi Hockey Association at a general council meeting of the body at Karachi on Thursday. A spokesman of Pakistan Hockey Federation said here that Dr Junaid has replaced the outgoing president Wasi Jaleel whose political engagements and related foreign tours were hampering his work at the KHA. During his tenure as the provincial sports advisor, he played an instrumental role in the establishment of Olympian Islahuddin and Dr Mohammad Ali Shah Hockey academies in Karachi.

"Hockey circles are hopeful that in his new role as the President, KHA Dr Junaid would be successful in the revival of the national game in Pakistan's biggest city Karachi, the capital of Sind province," said the spokesman.
