Hashim Club Ends Shalam Club Winning Spree In Dr. Shoukat Challenge Soccer

PESHAWAR,(APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -29th Augst,2016) : Hashim Club Peshawar succeeded in ending the winning spree of Shalam Club in the ongoing Dr. Shoukat Challenge Football Cup being played here at historical Tehmas Khan Football Stadium on Monday. Afghanistan cricket Team physio Azeem Malik and veteran footballer Saleem Khan graced the occasion as guests and before the start of the match the players of Hashim Club and Shalam Village Club were introduced to them.
Organizing Secretary Dr. Shoukat Shoukat, a Pakistan origin Canadian Surgeon, officials and large number of spectators were also present and witnessed the thrilling. Both Hashim Club and Shalam Club produced excellent display of football with some beautiful attacking inroads were also witnessed.
Hashim Club took the lead in the 9th minute through Inam Ullah on the field attempt. Inam Ullah, the right winger, travelled past three defenders before slamming in a super goal.
After taking lead, Hashim Club Peshawar kept up pressure to double the lead but were failed due to tight marking of Shalam Village Club defenders. At half-tiome Hashim Club was leading by 1-0.
It was the second session in which Shalam Club, which was playing its third match before recording victories in all two matches, level the tally 1-1. Farhat Ullah was the scorer. Center striker Farhat Ullah slammed in a beautiful goal through field attempt. When the two teams leveled 1-1, both shattered each other defence with some fine rallies of attacks.
To get result of the match both teams were awarded five each penalty kicks on which Hashim Club scored on all five and Shalam club missed a target. Thus Hashim Club won the match by 6-5. Anwar Khan supervised the match while Ikram Ullah and Abid acted as deputy referees.
