Inter-district kabaddi tournament: Chakwal clinch title

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) District Chakwal won the Rawalpindi Division Inter-District Kabaddi Tournament after defeating Attock in the final on Tuesday. The tournament featured teams from Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal.

In a thrilling final, Chakwal outclassed Attock by 39 points to 13. A large number of spectators witnessed the match and applauded the players’ performance with enthusiasm.

Barrister Danyal Chaudhry was the chief guest on the occasion.

District Sports Officer Rawalpindi Shams Toheed Abbasi, sports officials Naveed Ahmed Baig, Shafqat Niazi, Rehmatullah Sial and Muhammad Sajid Awan were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry said promotion of sports was the need of the hour and the role of the sports department was of great importance in this regard. He said youth should be encouraged towards positive and constructive activities for the development of a healthy society.
