
Minister Directs To Timely Ensure Completion Of Development Projects

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2025) Balochistan Minister for Planning and Development, Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi on Tuesday directed that the pace of work on all development projects would be accelerated and their completion within the stipulated time to be ensured at all costs.
He said this while chairing a meeting to review development projects.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kech, Bashir Ahmed Bareach, Engr Qasim Gachki of Turbat City Development Project, Engr Abdul Rauf Baloch of Urban Planning and Development Department, Engr Obaid Shad of B&R, Xen WAPDA, SDO WAPDA Mahim Khan and other officers and contractors of other relevant institutions.
In this meeting, the Provincial Minister was given a detailed briefing on Turbat City Development Project, Urban Planning, B&R and other ongoing development schemes.
The meeting also discussed the current status of ongoing projects in Kech district including Tehsil Buleda, the obstacles faced and the unresolved issues.
He said in no uncertain terms that any negligence or lapse in development projects will not be tolerated.
He also directed the DC Kech to regularly monitor all development schemes and submit immediate reports regarding stalled or delayed projects.
A warning should be issued to contractors who are not serious or slow and if they fail to complete their responsibilities within the stipulated time, strict legal action should be taken against them, he said.
The Provincial Minister also discussed with WAPDA officials the solution to the prolonged power load shedding and other power supply problems in Kech district,
He stressed the need to adopt a coordinated strategy for a permanent solution to these problems.
