RIO DE JANEIRO,(APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Augst,2016) - A Brazilian Federal court on Wednesday lifted an injunction on the transfer of public funds to the Rio Paralympics to make sure it goes ahead in September, a court statement said.
The court imposed the injunction last week saying the cash-strapped Rio 2016 organising committee did not publish credible accounts of how its money is spent. Paralympics organisers had failed to pay promised travel grants to several countries because it had not received government cash.
There had been warnings that without the money some poor countries would not be able to get to Rio.
