This is a fundamental formula that allows you to calculate the burning of your calories. Here is the formula

Total calories burned on a day = Duration (in minutes)*(MET*3.5*weight in kg)/200

Calories requirements for women vary according to the age they are in. We have calculated the number of calories that are required by women of different age groups.

  1. For active women who walk more than 03 miles during a day, they need to have 2,200 calories per day. This will maintain their weight in the current condition. The daily intake can be reduced to 1,700 calories per day if they wish to lose .45 kgs of their weight per week.
  2. Now comes the women in their early 20s. Their body requires more calories. Then at least need 2200 calories per day so that they can maintain their weight in the current conditions.
  3. The third type of women is those who fall between the age range of 26-50 years. They need almost 2000 calories per day so that they can maintain their weight in the current situation. Further, if they want to decrease their weight, they can reduce the intake to 1700 calories per day.

Calories requirements for men depends upon the age and the weight they have.

  1. Men who walk more than 03 miles per day fall under this category. Their body requires 2800-3000 calories so that their weight remains the same.
