PSL 2024 - Pakistan Super League Season 09

HBL Pakistan Super League 2024 Season 09 details, schedule, venues, fixtures, squads, and format are finalized. According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, Pakistan Super League 2024 begins on 17 February 2024, with the opening ceremony in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore. The defending champion and the home team, Lahore Qalandars, will play Islamabad United in the opening match.

Gaddafi Stadium and the Pindi Cricket Stadium will host nine matches each, five matches will be in the Multan Cricket Stadium, and the 11 matches including the playoffs and The Final will be played in the National Stadium Karachi. The Final Match will be on 18 March 2024, and we will have 2024's PSL winner.

PSL 2024 Teams

Six teams play in the HBL PSL 2024 like the previous season. These are Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans, and Karachi Kings.

PSL 2024 Venues

PSL 09 is happening in four venues in Pakistan, including Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore; Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan; National Stadium, Karachi; and Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi.

Gaddafi Stadium will host the nine matches, including the five matches of the home team and the opening match. Multan Cricket Stadium will host five matches for the home team. National Stadium Karachi will host the 11 matches, including five matches of the home team, playoffs, and The Final Match. Likewise, Pindi Cricket Stadium Rawalpindi will host nine matches, including five matches for the home team.

PSL 2024 Format

PSL 2024 format is the same as previous events. It will follow the double round-robin format in which each team will play twice against all other teams. Based on points on the points table, the top four out of six teams will qualify for the playoff round after the double round-robin round. If two or more teams have the same number of points, the top team will have the better Net Run Rate.

The double round-robin round will continue from 17 February to 12 March 2024. The first round of PSL 2024 will be from 17 February to 29 February 2024. On the other hand, the second round of PSL Season 09 will be from 2 March to 12 March 2024. Round 1 matches of PSL 09 will be played in Multan and Lahore, and Round 2 matches of PSL 2024 will be played in Karachi and Rawalpindi.

The first playoff, the Qualifier, between the top two teams on the points table of PSL 2024 will be on 14 March 2024. Eliminator I, the second playoff between the teams at 3rd and 4th place on the PSL 2024 points table, will be on 15 March 2024. Eliminator II, the third playoff match, will be between the runner-up of Playoff 1 and the winner of Playoff 2 on 16 March 2024. The Final Match of PSL 2024 will be between the winner of Playoffs 1 and 3 on 18 March 2024. All the playoffs and the final match will be played at the National Stadium Karachi.
