MIRPUR (AJK) , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 28th Jul, 2025) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, formally launched the monsoon tree plantation drive by planting a sapling at Kuttan Colony in top mountainous lush green Neelam valley on Monday.

The AJK PM was flanked by his cabinet members including Ministers Mian Abdul Waheed Advocate, Pir Mazhar Saeed Shah and Sardar Javed Ayub on this occasion.

Speaking at the event, the PM stressed the importance of public participation in making the plantation campaign complete success.

He said that tree plantation was vital for ensuring a safe and secure future for the coming generations.

Quoting Islamic teachings, the prime minister noted that islam places special emphasis on planting trees.

Earlier, the prime minister met with various public delegations and listened to their concerns.

He was also briefed by PDO officials on the progress of the Jagran Hydel Power Project and issued necessary directives.

Responding to a public demand presented by a delegation led by Qazi Ulfat, the AJK PM announced the construction of a 160-foot bridge at Jagran Chanan Seri for public convenience.

He also issued on-the-spot orders to address the grievances of MMCH employees.
