10 Food Outlets' Operators Arrested For Not Maintaining Cleanliness, Hygiene Defying Set SOPs

MIRPUR (AJK) , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 28th Jul, 2025) The authorities rounded up 10 shopkeepers of food, beverage shops and food outlets during surprise inspection for not maintaining cleanliness and hygiene by not implementing set health Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), the official sources have said.

On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Yasir Riaz, Ch. Assistant Commissioner, Raja Zahid Hussain Khan conducted surprise checking of various hotels, milk and yogurt shops and other food and beverage stores in the city, District Administration spokesman told media person.

During the inspection, 10 shopkeepers were arrested for not maintaining cleanliness and hygiene and not implementing health SOPs by the staff, while a cash fine of Rs 20,000 was imposed upon the violators of the set SOPs, the spokesman added.

The AC on this occasion warned that no leniency would be shown to those who did not implement the health SOPs.
