LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jul, 2025) Lahore Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza has said that the administration is committed to ensuring high-quality, transparent, and timely execution of development projects under the Lahore Development Programme (LDP).
Chairing a weekly review meeting to assess ongoing infrastructure and civic development schemes, here on Monday, the DC said that the success of any project depends on the durability and quality of its execution. He said that transparency and adherence to standards are non-negotiable, and directed all departments concerned to strictly follow project specifications and timelines.
The DC instructed Assistant Commissioners to personally monitor development works in their respective areas to ensure accountability and timely completion. He issued strict directives to contractors to adhere to set deadlines, warning that delays will not be tolerated. “Public development must be completed without compromise and within the given timeframe so citizens can benefit at the earliest,” he added.
Syed Musa Raza described the Lahore Development Programme as a key initiative aligned with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He said that the administration is working tirelessly to achieve sustainable, long-term improvements in urban infrastructure and to provide modern facilities for Lahore’s residents. “Our focus is not just on completing projects, but on delivering lasting impact,” he remarked. “We are building a foundation for a modern, efficient, and livable Lahore.”
Through rigorous oversight, quality control, and citizen-centered planning, the Lahore district administration is driving forward a new era of urban development, one that prioritizes accountability, efficiency, and public benefit, he concluded.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance & Planning), Chief Officer of the Metropolitan Corporation Lahore, all Assistant Commissioners, and other senior officials.
