7 Suspects Arrested In Crackdown

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Sep, 2026) Bahawalpur district police have arrested seven suspects in separate operations conducted during the past 24 hours, recovering a significant quantity of liquor, narcotics, and illegal weapons, as part of the ongoing crackdown against criminal elements.

According to a spokesman for Bahawalpur police, Kotwali Police Station arrested two suspects involved in the sale of liquor and recovered 48 litres of liquor from their possession.

In a separate operation, Chani Goth Police Station apprehended one suspected drug dealer and seized 160 grams of crystal meth.

Meanwhile, police teams from Kotwali, Abbas Nagar, Nowshera Jadid, and Derawar police stations arrested four suspects for possessing illegal firearms. Police recovered four 30-bore pistols from their possession.

Separate criminal cases have been registered against all the arrested suspects, and further investigation is underway.
