
A Mandatory 'Anti-Dengue Course' Announced For All Private Doctors

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jul, 2025) A mandatory anti-dengue refresher course has been announced for all doctors running private clinics across the district. Doctors' clinics will be sealed if found failed to complete the course.
This was announced by Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, Dr. Hassan Waqar Cheema, while chairing a daily meeting on anti-dengue measures at his office.
He directed that all private doctors must promptly complete the refresher course organized by the District Health Authority, failing which strict action will be taken against their clinics. Dr. Cheema emphasized that during an epidemic, the responsibilities of healthcare professionals increase significantly, and all measures must be implemented with utmost seriousness.
During the meeting, Coordinator of the District Emergency and Control Committee, Dr. Sajjad Ahmed, briefed on the anti-dengue actions taken so far. He informed that 821 clinics across the district have been inspected, of which 57 were sealed for violating regulations.
The deputy commissioner instructed all relevant departments to work diligently and responsibly to control dengue, saying that no negligence or carelessness would be tolerated.
The meeting also reviewed arrangements for the “Suthra Punjab” campaign and Chehlum, with necessary directives issued to the concerned authorities.
