MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Dec, 2016 ) , Dec 5 (APP): Azad Jammu Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan Monday reiterated his government's resolve to complete the stranded / incomplete projects of reconstruction program in earthquake hit areas of AJK.

He directed the authorities for the early completion of the under construction buildings of the educational institutions in the quake hit zone. The Federal government would be approached to furnish with the requisite funds for completion of all ongoing development projects in the quack stricken Muzaffarabad and other districts of AJK, Farooq Haider expressed these views after a briefing given to him by Deputy chairman ERRA on Reconstruction Program on Monday.

Farooq Haider Khan while addressing the meeting said that people of the State would never forget the invaluable cooperation and sympathies extended by the people of Pakistan after the devastating earthquake 2005.

Farooq Haider said hundreds of hospitals and educational institutions destroyed in deadly earthquake. The ERRA authorities told the meeting that they were not furnished funds according to the need that's why ERRA is facing difficulties.

ERRA authorities informed the meeting that under the ERRA's vision (Build, Back, Better) 7,743 projects were designed out of which 5,237 projects have been completed and handed over to the concerned departments. Prime Minister reviewed the progress of projects under the ERRA and was briefed on development activities covering roads, schools, health and municipal schemes.
