
Bus Traveling From Rawalpindi To Lahore Overturns Near M2 Interchange, 5 Killed

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2025) At least five fatalities and dozens of injuries were reported after a passenger bus traveling from Rawalpindi to Lahore overturned near the M2 Motorway Interchange due to a Tyre burst early Sunday morning.
According to the Motorway Police, five people were confirmed dead at the scene, while several others sustained injuries, private news channel reported.
The injured passengers were swiftly transported to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Chakwal for treatment. Rescue teams responded promptly after being notified, rushing to the accident site to assist with the recovery efforts.
Emergency services worked tirelessly to extricate the victims from the wreckage and provide immediate medical attention to the injured.
The area saw heavy traffic disruption as authorities cleared the scene and ensured the safety of the responding units. Witnesses at the scene described the crash as both sudden and catastrophic, with the bus overturning after the Tyre reportedly burst.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, with authorities focusing on the Tyre burst as a likely
factor.
