
Commissioner Distributed Fruit Trees Among The Landowners

KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jul, 2025) The monsoon plantation campaign is going on with full enthusiasm, which aims to control environmental pollution and make the dream of a green and lush Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a reality, these were on the instructions of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Commissioner Kohat Division Moatasim BIllah Shah distributed fruit-bearing plants among the landowners during a dignified ceremony at the office of the Agriculture Department and officially inaugurated the campaign by planting a sapling himself.
Additional DC Kohat Hamid Iqbal, District Director of the Agriculture Department Dr. Shakirullah Khan Marwat, officers of the Forest Department and representatives of various government agencies also participated in the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner said that plantation is not only necessary for environmental balance but also guarantees a safe future for our future generations.
He directed all government institutions to plant as many trees as possible within their limits and ensure their protection and maintenance.
With the joint efforts of the Divisional Administration, Agriculture Department and Forest Department, more than 15,000 fruit trees, including guava, loquat and fig, have been planted in the premises of various government offices and buildings of Kohat district so far.
This campaign will not only lead to environmental improvement but the promotion of fruit trees at the local level will also have a positive impact on the economy.
This practical initiative of tree planting is being highly appreciated in public and social circles, and it is expected that this campaign will continue successfully with further expansion throughout the Kohat division.
