Continuity Of Democracy Indispensable: Daniyal Aziz

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd August, 2016) : Member National Assembly Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Chaudhry Daniyal Aziz has said the continuity of democracy is indispensable for the country and a solution to masses problems. "Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has lust for power and its leadership is not interested in real accountability rather they use this word just for slogan," he said talking to ptv. He said PTI leadership is confused and using all tactics for grabbing power.

PTI always clamours for accountability but is oblivious to corruption of its party members in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Replying to a question, he said PTI suffered defeat in all political contests including elections in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan and by-elections in Punjab and other two provinces. "From their conduct towards democracy and the system, the PTI does not feel like a political party but a bunch of conspirators who want to grab power by ignoring all democratic norms," he said.

The MNA said if PTI was against the corruption then its leadership should have not closed down the accountability office in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa. He said Pakistan Muslim League never objected accountability and is always ready for investigation into Panama papers issue. To another question, he said the opposition's Terms of Reference (ToR) were person specific but the government had pleaded to bring in a system for an overall accountability.

He said other political parties in the ToR committee were agreeing with the government's ToRs except a couple of parties who desired ToRs of their own choice. Daniyal said people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir had badly rejected PTI's politics of allegations in recent elections.
