
Crackdown On Petrol Pumps Over Public Complaints

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd May, 2026) The district administration took action on public complaints by conducting inspections of petrol pumps to check fuel availability.
Assistant Commissioner Paharpur Dr Hamid Siddiq sealed a pump found closed during inspection and issued a notice to the owner. In Mitra Abad, a pump was found out of fuel, but no hoarding was detected, while its facilities were satisfactory.
In a separate action, Assistant Commissioner Rud Kohi, Zeeshan Iqbal, sealed an Petrol pump in Zafarabad after detecting overcharging and faulty measurement gauges during inspection.
Officials said the inspections were part of an ongoing campaign to ensure transparency in fuel supply and protect consumers from exploitation. Strict monitoring of petrol pumps would continue across the district.
The administration also urged citizens to report overcharging, hoarding, or irregularities at fuel stations, reaffirming its commitment to prompt action on public complaints and maintaining uninterrupted fuel supply.
