
DC Orders Early Rainwater Disposal

LODHRAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jul, 2025) Deputy Commissioner Dr. Lubna Nazir directed assistant commissioners of all three tehsils to ensure the drainage of rainwater during the ongoing monsoon season.
She directed officials to improve sanitation and ensure quick disposal of stagnant water, especially in low-lying areas.
She emphasized that assistant commissioners and chief municipal officers (CMOs) must remain in the field until rainwater is completely drained from their respective jurisdictions. She instructed that every possible effort and resource should be utilized to provide immediate relief to the public.
“No negligence or delay in sanitation and drainage work will be tolerated,” the DC warned and directed the chief officers of municipal committees and administrators to ensure drainage of accumulated water in urban areas.
