DCO Directs To Clean Nullahs Ahead Of Rains

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th july, 2016) : District Coordination Officer (DCO) Talat Mehmood Gondal has directed Rawalpindi Solid Waste and Management Company (RSWM) to make arrangements for cleaning of drains and Nullahs in the city to ensure smooth flow of water during the expected heavy rains in the coming days for any emerging situation. Chairing a meeting to review anti-dengue arrangements here on Monday, he said anti-dengue activities be expedited keeping in view weather and prevailing environment.
He directed the concerned that surveillance activities or tracing larva and its eradication be expedited besides focusing on hotspots where from dengue cases are being reported equally giving attention to places wherefrom larva has been detected during current checking.
He directed that checking and surveillance of commercial plazas, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, school and colleges, junkyards, graveyards, under construction sites, parks, open plots, abandoned sites, petrol pumps and all areas be ensured.
