
ECP Issues Schedule To Hold Bye Elections In PP-7

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd August, 2016) : The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Tuesday issued the schedule for by-election on Provincial Assembly seat PP-7, Rawalpindi.
The seat had fallen vacant after the death of Muhammad Siddique Khan.
According to the schedule issued by the ECP, nomination papers can be filed with the Returning Officer from August 15 to 16 while scrutiny will be held on August 18 and 19. Last date for filing appeals against the decisions of the Returning Officer about rejecting or accepting nomination will be August 22.
The tribunal would decide the appeals on August 24, while the candidates can withdraw nomination papers by August 27. The revised list of candidates would be issued on August 27. Polling will be held on September 26.
