ECP To Hold Bye Elections In PP-7 On Sept 26

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Augst,2016) : The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will hold by-election in PP-7 (Rawalpindi) on September 26. The seat had fallen vacant after the death of Muhammad Siddique Khan. According to the schedule issued by the ECP, nomination papers can be filed with the Returning Officer till August 16 while scrutiny will be held on August 18 and 19.
Last date for filing appeals against the decisions of the Returning Officer about rejecting or accepting nomination will be August 22.
The tribunal will decide the appeals on August 24, while the candidates can withdraw nomination papers by August 27. The revised list of candidates will be issued on August 27.
