Federal Minister Akram Khan Durrani visits DRC Bannu

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31th August, 2016) : Federal Minister for Housing and ex-chief minister Akram Khan Durrani Wednesday visited Dispute Resolution Council (DRC) and Police Assistant Lines (PALs) Bannu. During the visit, Chairman DRC Sikander Khan briefed him about the role of DRC, while two ongoing cases, recently resolved, were presented before the guest on the occasion.

The DPO Bannu Muhammad Qasum Khan highlighted the role of DRC and its relevance and effectiveness in Pakhtun Jirga System. Akram Khan Durrani highly appreciated the role, relevance and effectiveness of DRC and urged media, local elders and ulema to further project this highly desired initiative.

He emphasized that the success of DRC largely depends upon the local community and members of DRC who can ensure speedy and convenient justice, free of cost. He further stated that the forum of DRC affords us a golden opportunity to resolve our issues amicably. He pointed out that DRC had a bright and expanding future and its network was needed to be further expanded.

He suggested the inclusion of some religious scholar in the panel. Later, Akram Khan Durrani visited the Police Assistance Lines and interacted with police officials at various desks.
