
GCWUF Approves Budget With Key Strategic Decisions

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jul, 2025) The 22nd meeting of the Finance and Planning Committee of Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) was held here on Monday.
The meeting was chaired by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen, which approved budget estimates for the fiscal year 2025–26 with a strong focus on academic quality, advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promoting women empowerment through inclusive and progressive financial planning.
Treasurer Dr. Nousheen Syed presented the comprehensive agenda, which included a revision of financial policies aligned with institutional priorities. Among the key decisions was the introduction of a 50% tuition fee waiver for GCWUF graduates enrolling in MS/MPhil programs, as well as for students admitted through the sports quota and those joining the Health & Physical education programs.
The committee also endorsed revised remuneration for MS/MPhil research supervisors, updated honorarium criteria for guest speakers and resource persons, and new research award policies to incentivize scholarly contributions.
Additionally, the fee structures for postgraduate and new associate degree programs were streamlined to ensure greater accessibility and transparency.
The members of the committee commended the Vice Chancellor’s direction and commitment to financial sustainability, inclusivity, and academic excellence at GCWUF.
