ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23th August, 2016) : Minister for Commerce Engr Khurram Dastgir Khan has said the government would not tolerate Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) protest demonstrations violating the law and Constitution. PTI has adopted policy of creating unrest and chaos in the country and it is just doing politics of agitation to disturb routine matters of people, he said talking to ptv. The minister said the peaceful protest was right of every individual in a democratic system and urged PTI and PAT to hold their protests only on ground but not on roads, because they are creating hurdles in state affairs and routine matters of masses.
He said there is no pressure on the government as it was working on the agenda of development and prosperity of the country. PML-N was victorious in general election 2013, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir general election, Local bodies, bye- polls and Cantonment elections due to prudent polices of the PML-N government.
He said the parliament is right forum to address the issues and urged PTI to present its issues in the Parliament instead of playing politics on roads.
Khurram Dastgir said PTI and PAT wanted to topple government through protest but they would fail in their nefarious designs as the government had strengthened national economy and improved law & order situation and energy crisis. He said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated Sialkot motorway today and launched several public welfare and power projects in the country. The country was moving on the right path of development and progress, he added. Replying to a question, he said the government was ready to make legislation on Terms of Reference (ToRs) on Panama papers. The opposition has prepared its ToRs a person specific, but there should be equal accountability law for everyone. Seasoned Politician Javed Hashmi said the unprecedented sacrifices has been rendered by political parties for continuity of democracy in the country. He said the peaceful protest was right of everyone in democratic system.
